4 Helpful Tips for a Successful ZOZOFIT Scanning Experience

Posted by Heather Wixson on

Technology is really great until it isn't, right? That’s something we all experience in nearly every aspect of our daily routines as tech has become a crucial component of how all of us live out our lives these days. When the ZOZOFIT app was developed, our team’s goal was to deliver to users easily accessible cutting-edge 3D body scanning technology that allows them to take control of their own fitness journeys through the data and tools featured on our easy-to-use app.

But sometimes, technology has other ideas, which can make the scanning process on the ZOZOFIT app a bit more difficult from time to time. With that in mind, we put together this list of 4 helpful tips that can assist our users in achieving a successful scanning experience on the ZOZOFIT app.

Read on for more information!

  • Try to scan in a room with as little clutter as possible. ZOZOFIT is designed to be used from the comfort of your own home, so we understand that scanning in a completely empty room with no furniture is not an ideal solution for any of our ZOZOFIT users. That being said, when you do scan, try to do it in an area where there’s as little furniture behind you as possible, as the camera can pick up those items during scanning. That can make the process more difficult for the ZOZOFIT app and will most likely result in a failed scan.

  • If possible, try to stand in areas that are as clear of furniture and other bulky items as possible just so that the scanning technology can provide you with accurate data after you finish. Also, do not scan in front of mirrors either, as their reflective properties can interfere with the scanning process as well.

  • Check your lighting. Proper lighting is crucial to ensuring that your phone can properly read the pattern on your ZOZOSUIT. So before you scan, make sure that the environment that you are scanning in has even and consistent bright lighting throughout. If you have strong overhead lights above you, that can result in inadvertent shadows during the scanning process. One of the biggest reasons ZOZOFIT users are unable to complete their scans is due to having low light from their waist down.

  • So be sure to keep in mind that you need to have good, consistent lighting throughout the room where you are scanning in order to help your device’s camera work properly with the ZOZOFIT app’s technology.

  • Make sure that you are wearing your ZOZOSUIT correctly. This probably sounds like a no-brainer, but having your ZOZOSUIT on the right way is necessary in order to be able to experience a successful scan using the ZOZOFIT app. Before putting your ZOZOSUIT on, be sure to check that the tags are located in the back, and once the suit is on, smooth out any wrinkles or areas where the fabric may have bunched up due to its stretchy nature. It’s also worth mentioning that your ZOZOSUIT should be tight, but not excessively tight, so if you’re finding that your suit pattern is extremely stretched out, or if the top rolls up on you, you probably need a different size and should contact us for assistance.

  • Check Your Device’s Camera. Because your phone is the portal for you to be able to access and use the ZOZOFIT app, it is crucial that the camera on your device be working properly in order to get a successful scan. If you have an Android phone, the Phone Check and Test app is a great resource to ensure that your phone is working at peak performance. For iPhone users, this article can help you troubleshoot any potential problems that the camera on your device may be experiencing. The success of the scanning process on the ZOZOFIT app is dependent on how well your camera is working, so be sure to check that your camera is in tip-top shape if you experience any issues while scanning.

It may be possible to download the ZOZOFIT app on other Apple devices, but that does not mean that your device will be compatible with the app. Please make sure that you are using the most recent version of the ZOZOFIT app to ensure that you are capturing accurate measurements with your suit.
